Short version: your footage never leaves your device. If you create an account, we store your name, email address and profile photo so you can sign in. If you use the contact form, we receive your message and use it only to reply. We count page visits anonymously — no cookies, no IP addresses, no personal data.
Nova Clip is a client-side editor. Video, audio and image files you open are decoded, previewed, edited and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else's.
To make the editor usable, a few things are saved locally using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

The voice-over tool asks for microphone access only when you start a recording. The recorded audio is kept in your browser as a clip on your timeline and is not transmitted anywhere.
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. The form is delivered to our inbox through EmailJS, an email delivery service, and also stored in our database (Google Firebase Firestore) so no message is lost. We use this information only to answer your message. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
Accounts are optional. If you create one, sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. We store:
If you use email sign-up, your password is handled by Firebase and is never visible to us. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. Your signed-in session is stored in your browser. This profile is kept in our Firestore database so we can see who has signed up. Deleting your account from the Account page deletes it.
Nova Clip does not set cookies, run advertising or use third-party trackers. To see how the site is used, each page view adds one to anonymous daily counters: which page was opened, the domain of the site that linked to it, whether the device is a phone or a computer, and the date. The editor also counts exports — format, export mode and video length, never file names or content. We do not store IP addresses or anything that identifies you. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.
If you sign in, Firebase keeps your session in your browser's storage so you stay signed in; Google may set its own cookies during Google sign-in.
Contact-form emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Anonymous daily counters contain no personal data and are kept to show trends over time. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Nova Clip is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
