Type the Hindi text and see your speed in words per minute, your accuracy and your key depressions per hour. Pick 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes and a level, or paste your own text. It works with the Hindi keyboard of your phone, and on a computer InScript can type Hindi from an English keyboard.
Choose 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes, and Easy, Medium, Hard or Office text. You can also paste your own text.
On a phone, switch your keyboard to Hindi. On a computer with only an English keyboard, keep "InScript keys" on: the K key types क, J types र and so on. You can also show the Hindi keyboard on the screen and tap its keys.
Tap the box and type the text shown above it. The clock starts with your first letter. Words you type right turn green and wrong ones turn red.
When the time is up or you finish the text, you see words per minute, accuracy, the right, wrong and skipped words, and the words you got wrong.
You get both numbers that Hindi typing tests use: words per minute, and key depressions per hour (KDPH) for the exams that count keys.
If you skip a word or add one, the words after it still line up with the text. Only that one word counts against you.
InScript is the standard Hindi layout on computers. With "InScript keys" on, every key of your English keyboard types the Hindi letter it has in InScript, and the keyboard on the screen shows where each letter is.
Easy sentences, topic paragraphs, hard words with joined letters, and office text such as a letter or a notice.
Choose "My text" and paste a paragraph from your exam practice book to test yourself on it.
The test runs in your browser. What you type is not sent to a server, and there is no sign-up.
