Nova Clip is a video editor you open in your browser. There is nothing to install, no watermark on your video, and your files stay on your device. It is not a copy of CapCut, so here is an honest look at what each one is good at.
Pick Nova Clip if you want to cut, caption and export a video without installing anything or paying, on a computer or in Chrome on Android.
Pick CapCut if you want its big library of effects, templates and AI tools, or an app made for your phone or computer.

Nova Clip cannot open CapCut project files. In CapCut, export the video, or the clips you want to keep, and save them on your device.
Open the editor, choose Import and pick your videos. MP4 and WebM files import everywhere. If a file will not open, convert it to MP4 first.
Open Canvas size and choose 1080 × 1920 for Reels, Shorts and Stories, 1080 × 1080 for square, or 1920 × 1080 for wide.
Split with S, delete what you do not need, add text or captions, then press Export. You sign in with a free Google or email account when you export.
