How it works

  1. Choose your video

    Pick a video from your phone or computer.

  2. Pick the start and end

    Move the Start and End sliders. Or play the video and tap “Start here” and “End here” at the exact moment.

  3. Watch the part

    Tap “Play the part” to see only what you will keep, from your start to your end.

  4. Trim and save

    Tap “Trim the video”. When it is ready you can play the result, see how many MB it is, and tap “Save video”.

Tips for trimming

Is this video trimmer free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no watermark and no account.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video is cut in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Will the quality drop?
No, not when the browser can copy your video as it is, which is the usual case. Where some of the picture has to be made again, for example at the very start of your part, a high quality is used. The saved file is MP4, or WebM if your video was WebM.
Can I cut out a part from the middle?
This tool keeps one part, from a start to an end. To remove a part from the middle, open the editor, split the video at both ends of that part and delete it.
Which videos work?
MP4, WebM and MOV videos that your browser can play. If a video does not open, you are told.
How short can the part be?
At least 0.3 seconds.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It is built for phones, with big buttons and sliders you can drag with a thumb.
Can I add music or text after trimming?
Yes. Save the trimmed video, then open it in the Nova Clip editor and add text, music or more clips.
