Free ringtone maker

Choose a song and Nova Audio starts you on its loudest part. Move the handles to pick your favourite part, and save a ringtone for Android or iPhone. Nothing is uploaded.

Make a ringtone →No account needed. No watermark.

How it works

  1. Choose a song

Pick an MP3, M4A or any audio file, or a video, from your phone or computer.

  2. Pick your part

The loudest stretch is chosen for you. Drag the handles to change it, and tap Play to hear it. A ringtone can be 40 seconds on Android and 30 seconds on iPhone.

  3. Choose Android or iPhone

Android ringtones are saved as MP3. iPhone ringtones are saved as M4R. A one second fade out is already on so the ringtone ends gently.

  4. Save and set it

Tap Make my ringtone, listen, then tap Save file. The steps below show how to set it on your phone.

Why use this tool

Starts on the loudest part

Most songs have a quiet start. The ringtone maker picks the loudest stretch so your ringtone starts with the good part.

Android and iPhone

MP3 for Android, M4R for iPhone, with the length limit each one needs.

A gentle ending

A fade out is on by default, and you can add a fade in too.

Hear it first

Play the part before you save, and again on the result screen.

Private

Your song is cut in your browser, on your device. It is not sent to a server.

No watermark, no account

Your ringtone is clean, and you do not need to sign in.

How to set it as your ringtone

Questions

Is this ringtone maker free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no watermark and no account.
Is my song uploaded?
No. The song is read and cut in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
How long can a ringtone be?
Up to 40 seconds for Android and 30 seconds for iPhone. The handles stop at that length, and the other handle moves along if you drag past it.
Why does the iPhone need M4R?
iPhone ringtones are AAC audio in a file that ends in .m4r. The ringtone maker saves exactly that.
How do I put the ringtone on my iPhone?
A website cannot add it to Settings for you. Add the M4R file with Finder on a Mac (or iTunes on Windows), or open the file in GarageBand on the iPhone. Then pick it under Settings, Sounds and Haptics, Ringtone.
How do I set it on Android?
Open Settings, then Sound and vibration, then Phone ringtone, and add the saved file. If the phone does not list it, move the file into the Ringtones folder first.
Which songs work?
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG and FLAC files, and the sound of videos. Use music you own or have the right to use.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It is built for phones, with handles you can drag with a thumb. Chrome, Edge and Safari all work.
